5:00pm THE BRASS The Brass is a non-auditioned community brass and woodwind ensemble, playing original arrangements of whatever the heck they want.
5:30pm THE SPLIFF PERSONALITIES The Spliff Personalities is a group of six friends who love making music. Original hip-hop, soul, funk, and snacks.
6:15pm FIFTH STREET A vocal acapella quintet who combines the worlds of pop, jazz, and R&B in a perfect five-part harmony.
6:45pm STEL Stel tackles the intricacy of modern indie-pop, with the perspective of R&B.
7:45pm BOOMSHACK A 7-piece dance band with ska, reggae, funk, and soul vibes based out of Nanaimo and Victoria.
8:45pm THE VICTORIA CUBAN ALL-STARS The Victoria Cuban All-Stars was formed by local professional musicians who trained and performed in Cuba for many years before settling in Victoria. They play a wide range of latin rhythms such as salsa, Latin jazz, and traditional Cuban music.

9:00am – 10:30am Community Breakfast Start the day off right with a by-donation community breakfast in the Square. Eat with friends and family, and get ready to enjoy the festivities all day long! Thanks to Fernwood Coffee Company, Mount Royal Bagels, and the Fernwood Inn.
10:00am & 11:00am Bike Decoration Station & Kidical Mass Bike Parade Kids! Get ready to glide through Fernwood’s streets. Meet on the Vic High field at 10am to decorate your bike and 11am for the ride. There will be decoration supplies and a bike mechanic on-hand to make sure you ride safely and in style. Thanks to the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition for leading the ride.
10:30pm – 5:00pm Artisan Market & Market Stage Over 50 local vendors will be showcasing their unique items on the tennis courts beside the Vic High Plaza, bringing you handmade clothing, jewelry, soaps, plants, treats, and more! Plus, local musicians will serenade you at the Market Stage all day. (See stage schedule below)
11:00am – 5:00pm Field of Dreams

Family and kids activities galore & all things fun: giant cardboard castle, a living library, community art projects, games, face-painting, pop-up performances & Kids Stage. (See stage schedule below)
10:30am – 5:00pm Silent Auction Come bid on an amazing selection of items including gift certificates, yoga passes, coffee, art and more! Cash, credit & debit accepted. Located on the Vic High Field. Thank you to all our donors.
11:00am – 5:00pm Non-Profit Hub Talk to local non-profit groups about the cool things they are doing in our community and find out how you can get involved! Located on the Vic High Field.
11:00am – 5:00pm Walking Tours of Fernwood Join the Victoria Heritage Foundation on a guided tour of the heritage buildings in the ‘hood at 11:00am & 1:00pm.

Tours of Spring Ridge Commons are at 12:00pm & 2:00pm where you will explore the edible & medicinal plants of the site.

Tour the beautiful Belfry Theatre at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, or 6pm. Meet @ the Belfry lobby.

9:00am – 6:00pm Belfry Theatre Free tours of the Belfry Theatre, a photo booth on the main stage, a family room in the lobby for your to hang out in and chill, and mask making for the kiddos and kids at heart! Thanks to the Belfry Theatre.
11:30am – close BBQ FernFest’s BBQ brings you delicious eats including locally-made smokies and kid’s dogs, falafel wraps, chips, and Phillips Soda.
12:00pm – 10:00pm Ice Cold Refreshments The trailer bar in the Square is pouring fresh Blue Buck, Pilsner, Electric Unicorn by Phillips Brewing & Malting Co. and Merridale Cider. (All ages location, 19+ for alcohol)
1:00pm – 2:30pm Seniors’ High Tea Join in on some good ol’ fashioned fun in the Fernwood Community Centre. Pastries, tea and good conversation. (55+ years please) Snacks generously donated by Thrifty Foods.

2:45pm SLIM SANDY & THE HILLBILLY BOPPERS Slim Sandy and the Hillbilly Boppers is part jump blues, part rockabilly, with a splash of swing and hillbilly spirit!
3:45pm MYLA A 6 piece funk, pop, R&B, hip-hop, soul band that keeps it tight and, above all, loves to play music together.
4:25pm ANN-BERNICE THOMAS Ann-Bernice Thomas is a multi-disciplinary artist, social justice activist, aspiring producer, part-time comedian, and full-time witch. Former City of Victoria 2016 Youth Poet Laureate.
4:45pm TAN AND HIDE Hard-hitting, toe-tapping, bluesy Americana rock band. Influences like Ray Charles, The Black Keys, and Neil Young.
5:45pm FERNWOOD COALITION If it’s not a funky meeting than what is it?
6:45pm GRAPEFRUIT IS IMPOSSIBLE A fusion of original jazz and hip-hop music with technical instrumentation and uncontrollable enthusiasm. They will help us all have as much fun as possible.
7:45pm TIGHT HAIR If you love to dance, you will love Tight Hair Disco. Get ready to dance to the music that started “The Club Scene”.
8:45pm KUTAPIRA Kutapira’s highly stylized marimba fusion consists of some contemporary Zimbabwean tunes and inspired by genres like reggae, funk, Latin jazz, samba, cumbia, disco, and hip-hop. (Vancouver, BC)

11:30am SAINT LO. Comprised of six multidisciplinary artists, Saint Lo. (formally known as St. Lawrence Warehouse Company) is an eclectic alt-folk collective based out of Montreal whose music evokes relatable complex emotions surrounding themes of vulnerability, isolation, connection, nostalgia, loss, and triumph.
12:30pm AIKO Up and coming singer-songwriter Aiko is excited to be performing at FernFest for the very first time. Aiko began exploring her passion for music by adding her own unique sound to many of today’s pop favourites and experimenting with her covers at popular open mic nights across Victoria. While she has done some recording, her heart is in creating original music and lyrics using her guitar and poetry to document her own emotional journey.
1:30pm MYNOLIA Canadian Singer-Songwriter-Producer, based in Berlin, Germany.
2:30pm LOOELLE LOOELLE is the combined musical efforts of Ellen Trottier & Niloo Farahzadeh. Armed with a guitar & a cajón, these ladies wrap their warm vocal harmonies around topics of love, sex, and activism.
3:30pm SARAH OSBORNE Sarah Osborne is like honey in your ears with her smoky voice and elegant guitar fingers. Her craft of timeless poetry and emotionally ripe music are inspired by the old growth forests and thick salty air of Canada’s wild west coast.
4:30pm BUTTON & STRING
Banjo & accordion with plans to get you movin’. Original stories, tap-dancing feet, soulful saw and happy harmonies, these two ladies dance & groove.
