5:00pm DJ WAXSTATIC Waxstatic is ecstatic to share an eclectic mix of rare ALL VINYL Afro Groove, Funk, Soul and Caribbean music that’s guaranteed to put you on your good foot.
6:00pm MASALA WORLD PERCUSSION Masala is a world drum and percussion band from Victoria whose music is inspired by traditional rhythms of West Africa, Haiti, Cuba, Brazil and the Middle East. Through music, they bring people together in celebration of community and common cultural values.
6:30pm ZOUBI AND THE SEA Zoubi and the Sea is rapidly evolving into a force to be reckoned with. Growing from their sound rooted in folk music, the tides have turned them into one hell of a soulful rock band, they pair sultry saxophone solos with dynamic instrumentals to accompany Zoubi’s timeless vocals.
7:30pm THE CHOIR The Choir is a non-auditioned, community choir that sings all-original arrangements of pop, folk and indie music. What started as a small project based out of Larsen Music in early 2013 turned big in no time: 100 great people who love to sing their hearts out!
8:00pm DEEP SEA GYPSIES Born in a modern era with vintage dreams, the Deep Sea Gypsies offer a sound that is all their own. Playing an original, innovative combination of 60’s psych, blues rock and 70’s southern rock, some might say they have souls much older than their age would suggest.
9:00pm LEISURE CLUB Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, and comprised of members from the groups BESTiE and Tough Lovers, Leisure Club is a new home for the conjuring of pop songs focused on groove, catchy guitar melodies, and vocal lines that will stay stuck in your head.

9:00am – 10:30am Community Pancake Breakfast We start the day off right with a by-donation pancake breakfast in the Square, generously prepared and donated by The Fernwood Inn.
10:00am  Bike Decoration Station Meet on the Field of Dreams (aka the Vic High Field) to spruce up your bicycle before the Kidical Mass Bike Parade. There will be decorations and a bike mechanic on-hand to make sure you ride safely and in style.
10:30pm – 5:00pm Artisan Market Over 40 local vendors will be showcasing their unique items on the tennis courts beside the Vic High Plaza. A variety of tables bring you handmade clothing, jewelry, hoops, soaps, baked goods and more!
11:00am – 5:00pm Field of Dreams

Family and kid’s activities galore & all things fun: giant cardboard castle, community weaving project, interactive painting mural, over-sized games, face painting, art, info tables and mini-stage with FREE workshops
11:00am Kidical Mass Bike Parade Kids! Get ready to glide through Fernwood’s streets. Meet in the Field of Dreams and tour through the ‘hood escorted by VicPD and the Angel Choppers Bicycle Club (AC/BC).
11:00am & 1:00pm Walking Tours of Fernwood Join the Victoria Heritage Foundation on a guided tour of the heritage buildings in our neighbourhood at 11:00 am or join Stephanie for a tour of the permaculture food forest Spring Ridge Commons at 1:00 pm. You will explore the edible and medicinal plants of the site. Meet at the tours table on the Vic High Field.
11:30am – close BBQ FernFest’s BBQ brings you delicious, locally-made eats including island-raised gluten-free smokies by McLennans Butcher and Field Roast veggie dogs from across the Salish Sea. Wash them down with Phillips Sodas available on tap.
12:00pm – 10:00pm Ice Cold Refreshments Head to the trailer bar located in Fernwood Square for a fresh-from-the-tap Blue Buck or Pilsner by Phillips Beer or Merridale MerriBerri or House Cider. (All ages location, must be 19+ to drink alcohol)
1:00pm – 2:30pm Seniors’ High Tea Join in on some good ol’ fashioned fun in the Fernwood Community Centre. Scones, tea and good conversation. (55+ years please)

12:00pm SLIM SANDY & THE HILLBILLY BOPPERS Kicking off Saturday’s festivities in grand style, Slim Sandy & the Hillbilly Boppers’ combination of original compositions and interpretations of classic rockabilly, Western swing, and country blues songs from the 30’s to the 50’s are sure to get everyone bopping along.
1:00pm THE HALF MOON SHINE The Half Moon Shine is a five femme band featuring all original doo-wop, americana, and country songs; a perfect pairing to a sunny afternoon!
2:00pm BROTHERS IN FARMS Aided by a wide range of musical influences, the Brothers are out to prove that having fun, loving what you do and stylistic diversity light the fire that feeds their genre hopping party music; music that clearly has what it takes to get the crowds to join the party, sing along and pack the dance floor.
3:00pm WISE CHILD Indie-rock band Wise Child play catchy songs led by intriguing guitar riffs paired with rich vocals and thoughtful lyrics; their music will resonate with lovers of such artists as Feist, the War on Drugs and Beach House.
4:00pm THE FERNWOOD COALITION The Fernwood Coalition invites participants to sink into the inclusive grooves. All applications are accepted, fully reviewed and completely unnecessary. Riding undulating waves of positivity, all possibilities are endless with the FC.
5:00pm BUČAN BUČAN Made up of a very colourful and talented collection of musicians playing trumpets, violins, tubas, accordions, clarinets, flugelhorns, trombones and drums, Bučan Bučan is mobile and often plays while moving around a venue – be sure to get a dance in with them in Fernwood Square!
6:00pm JOHNNY DANGUS Born in a volcano, Johnny rode a funky wave of lava straight into the vibrant Miami-scene where he got to work on perfecting his craft for lighting up dance floors. This is sure to be a dance party you won’t want to miss!
7:00pm BLACKWOOD KINGS Although influenced by punk, Blackwood Kings favour the reverb-laden upstrokes of ska and dub, producing a politically and emotionally charged brand of reggae fusion that is uniquely their own.
8:00pm TIGHT HAIR A bunch of disco-loving misfits that used the power of hovercraft, pogo-stick and Craigslist to form a band that brings the polyester-clad dance party to town! Band Interests include dancing, high fives, roller skates, big hair, Cadillacs, sequins, glitter, disco balls, lava lamps, and shag carpets.
9:00pm CHANCE LOVETT & THE BROKEN HEARTED First making her stamp on the Victoria music scene fronting The Chantrelles, Chance now lives in Vancouver, where she commands a new and exciting band under her own name. She’s looking forward for her return to the city where she will re-connect with former Chantrelles alumni and other local musicians to play some fantastic new original material as Chance Lovett & The Broken Hearted!
