Victoria Best Babies is Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program sponsored by the Fernwood NRG with funding from the Public Health Agency of Canada. We are not associated with the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
Post-natal discussion groups run on Wednesdays from 12-3pm. Discussions are led by various members of the staff or community. Our Public Health Nurse, Dietitian, Program Coordinator, and Outreach Worker are available for support.
Prenatal classes run on Thursdays from 12-3pm. Our Public Health Nurse leads the discussion and can answer questions about pregnancy, labour, and caring for baby after birth. Our Program Coordinator and Outreach Worker are available for support.
What we provide:
- Educational sessions
- One-on-one support
- Monthly food vouchers and monthly Good Food Boxes
- Prenatal vitamins and Vitamin D drops
- Baby food demos
- Healthy snacks and lunches
- Hospital tours and hospital pre-registration
- On site access to a Public Health Nurse, a Dietitian, and a Dental Hygienist
