Kyudo (For ages 16+)

Starting Wednesday 3rd May, 2017

Have you previously trained in kyudo? Here is an opportunity for you to continue your kyudo training. Our classes offer an opportunity for you to challenge yourself both physically and mentally. Practice sessions are led by Brian Angene (4th dan), who has trained for over 11 years including 3 years in Japan. All equipment is provided. Come and join like-minded individuals and take up the way of the bow again.

When: Wednesdays, 7:30 – 9:30pm

Cost: Register for full term (10 classes) for $100



Starting Tuesday 2nd May, 2017

Would you like to learn how to live a happy and productive life? Learn how to meditate!

Practicing meditation can help alleviate stress, ease tension and calm the mind. This class will teach you different meditation practices that you can use on your own to support you in deepening your attention to the present moment, having more clarity and emotional regulation as well relaxing the body, mind and spirit. Please wear comfortable clothing. Yoga mats and pillows provided.

When: Tuesdays, 6:00 – 7:00pm

Cost: Register for series of 6 sessions for $60 or Drop-in for $12 per session


 Flow Yoga Karma Class (Beginner friendly / All levels)karma-yoga-fernwood-community-centre-2016-01

Brought to you by the Fernwood Yoga Den, flow through creative sequences of postures to tone your muscles and stretch your deeper tissues. A strong focus on breath and alignment will allow students of all levels to deepen their yoga practice. A Karma class is taught by a volunteer teacher with all the proceeds going towards a charitable cause. The proceeds for this Karma class will go towards our Youth and Family Programs at the Fernwood Community Centre.

When: Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:00pm

Cost: $5/class.  Mats available for $2 rental






No sessions on Statutory holidays.

Bi-Polar Babes Women’s Peer Support Group

Women 25+ who live with a mental health condition such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety and/or depression. You do not been and official diagnosis we are here for you if you have mental health concerns.

When: Tuesdays, 7:00 – 8:30pm

LGBTQ Narcotics Anonymous

Narcotics Anonymous provides a recovery process and peer support network that are linked together. One of the keys to NA’s success is the therapeutic value of addicts working with other addicts.
