Saying Goodbye

Dear Den Family,

It is with a heart full of love, gratitude, and admiration alongside a dose of sadness that I am writing to let you know that after 9 years together in community, Fernwood Yoga Den will be closing this summer.

Since the first time I stepped into the Den, I’ve felt a sense of home that has offered a space of rest, inspiration, and connection. We’ve shared ways to be kind, loving, compassionate humans to ourselves, to each other, and in community. From laughter to tears to moments of passing in between, each of you and the collective space we’ve created together has been nothing short of brilliant. Thank you.

It has been a challenging year for everyone. As a small business – and especially one focused around space for community gathering – the closing and reopening of our physical doors multiple times over the last year has stretched our resources thin. We always learn from the practice of yoga that we must tend to our inner resources first to be able to share and give fully. At this point, the Board of Directors of Fernwood NRG has decided we must tend to the inner resources of the wider organization, and sell the building at 1310 Gladstone, thus bringing a close to our chapter at Fernwood Yoga Den.

  • Our daily operations will be running as normal until July 4, 2021
  • All booking systems and accounts will be closed on July 5, 2021
  • Kids Yoga Camps and Maya Health Clinic will run as scheduled until August 2021

We hope this gives you the opportunity to check in with your teachers, with your community, and find out how you can keep these valuable practices alive and embodied in new ways. While there is a deep sadness saying goodbye to the constellation of this particular home, we also know the bright, light moments shared together will make future constellations of home and heart all the more luminous.

As a preparation for this transition, we’d like to celebrate by contributing to the thing we love most: community. Both local and global. Have a look below for our last community offerings including an Art Market and Fundraiser for Project Mumbai’s Covid relief efforts in India, an Adventure & Asana Day Retreat as well as Kids Yoga for all ages: Crafts for the littles (ages 5-8), and Forest School for the not-so-littles (ages 8-12). You’ll also find more details about how to use any remaining passes or store credits below.

We are forever grateful for your contributions to this community. We are savoring these last weeks together, will be sharing some more ways to stay engaged soon, and hope you’ll celebrate with us in whatever way feels best for you. Just as you are.

In Community,

Fernwood NRG, Kevin, Rachel, and your Fernwood Yoga Den family
