6:15pm LOOELLE LOOELLE is a three-piece dream-folk band fronted by Niloo Farahzadeh and Ellen Trottier. Their sound bridges the gap between folk and dream-pop with a warm, nostalgic feel, groovy rhythms, and ethereal harmonies that will leave you haunted.
7:10pm NEKO SMART & ELLIOT BIGSBY Neko Smart & Elliot Bigsby are grade 12 students at Victoria High School. Through poetry, Neko processes the world around her. Elliot uses poetry as a means of connecting difficulties in life with art.
7:40pm RABINO Rabino is a Calgary-based soul act infused with pop and R&B elements. Bring your dancing shoes, we’ll provide the groove.
8:50pm FOX GLOVE Hailing from Victoria, BC, Fox Glove takes you on an immersive harmony-soaked journey filled with notes of alt-folk and soul.

 

FOOD Enjoy some tasty eats from our BBQ. We’ll be serving locally-made smokies, veggie sausages, and kid’s dogs, chips, and Phillips Sodas. 5pm – Late

Fernwood Square Start the day off right with a by-donation community breakfast in the Square. Eat with friends and family, and get ready to enjoy the festivities all day long! Thanks Mount Royal Bagel Factory and Little June.
10:00am & 11:00am Bike Decoration Station & Kidical Mass Bike Parade Vic High Field & the streets of Fernwood Kids! Get ready to glide through Fernwood’s streets. Meet on the Vic High field at 10am to decorate your bike and 11am for the ride. There will be decoration supplies and a bike mechanic from North Park Bike Shop on-hand to make sure you ride safely and in style. Thanks to the Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition for leading the ride.
10:30am – 5:00pm Artisan Market Vic High Plaza Over 50 local vendors will be showcasing their unique items on the tennis courts beside the Vic High Plaza, bringing you handmade clothing, jewelry, soaps, art, treats, and more!

Join them for their AGM at 11am, walking tours at 12pm & 2pm, plus silent auction, music, BBQ, and drinks.

11:30am Nuu-chah-nulth Drumming Nuu-chah-nulth drumming group will be drumming and dancing in Fernwood Square.
12:00pm VIC HIGH R&B BAND Playing R&B and soul classics, the Vic High R&B Band will open FernFest. Led by Eric Emde, these high school students will have you grooving immediately!
12:45pm PLATFORM 61 Victoria High School’s Dance Troupe of 25 students who have channelled their love of dance into a passionate and challenging repertory that includes all dance genres.
1:10pm MILE ZERO CLUB Original music written by local vocalist Rachelle Lee. Jazz, R&B, and soul blend together with silky vocals, thick bass, and jazz harmony.
2:05pm ROTTEN APPLE RUCKUS If you have dirty eardrums, the Rotten Apples will use their bucket bass and washboard to scrub them clean with a wash of sounds from the 20’s to 40’s.
3:00pm JAYA JAYA’s sound is melancholic yet quirky, touching yet dissonant, refreshing, and familiar. It’s going to grow on you.
4:00pm WBMB WBMB is a Victoria based blues/rock band comprised of members from Tan and Hide and The Leaks.
5:00pm STEVIE WISE & THE BIG FEELINGS Blending rock, pop, and soul, Stevie Wise & The Big Feelings breaks down the barriers of genre to create fresh, smooth, original music.
6:00pm DOWNTOWN MISCHIEF Hooligans, people, primates. Yes, we have thumbs and no, we are not potatoes. Sunshine eyelids coastal vibrance, fluttering as we grasp casually for the unknowable secret.
7:15pm OLD SOUL REBEL Bold. Upbeat. Immense and soulful is the cutting-edge sound which is Old Soul Rebel.
8:45pm RIPPLE ILLUSION Ripple Illusion brings a fresh take on an old sound, fusing blues, funk, and surf in a rock & roll explosion.

3:40pm CAMPFIRE EMPIRE COMEDY HOUR Here to paint Victoria silly are a group of local comedians. Shane Priestley, Evan Mumford, Chelsea Lou, Quincy Thomas and Miles Meechan.
4:50pm NASTI WEATHER Nasti Weather sounds like if Janis Joplin, Etta James, and Lucinda Williams had some elegant, rock & roll, trailer park love child.
5:50pm THE SALTINES The Saltines are a five-woman, Victoria-based performance supergroup, their inspiring stage show includes singing, dancing, and comedy.
6:15pm CARTOON LIZARD A team of paranormal detectives have been assigned the task of alchemizing Millennial’s buried memories into sound, this project case is currently labelled Cartoon Lizard.
7:30pm GREG MEIKLEJOHN & THE BAAN BAANS This group of local Victoria musicians will take you on an emotional journey. Whether you like it or not is entirely up to you!
8:30pm PERSI FLAGE & HENRIETTA DUBÉT Persi Flage is Victoria’s Femme King and former Mr. Gay Vancouver Island. Henrietta Dubét is self-proclaimed queen of the people who pairs her depreciating humour agonizing wit.
9:00pm DIAMOND CAFE Diamond Cafe is the project of Canadian artist Tristan Thompson. Out of his bedroom, he blends the sounds of synth pop and R&B with a beautiful touch on sex and love.
