Fernwood is a happening neighbourhood with lots going on all the time. There are a number of venues that regularly host events or have entertainment: the Fernwood Community Centre, the Belfry Theater, the Fernwood Community Association & Little Fernwood, and the Fernwood Inn, to name a few.
Fernwood NRG hosts our annual community celebration FernFest which showcases arts, music, and so much more.

Bring your mending projects and enjoy a Let’s repair damaged clothing together! Bring your mending projects and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of stitching, chatting, sharing ideas, and picnicking in the park. The Tsugi Hagi team will provide simple guidance, all materials and tools, and design ideas for visible mending. Beginners are very welcome — basic stitching techniques will be shared throughout the event. Bring your own damaged clothing or simply come and explore. Participants are welcome to mend rescued garments (denim, jackets, and more) provided by @thegreenthimble.ca.
