Fernwood Neighbourhood House operated the Good Food Box, a fruit and vegetable box program, until August 2026 at which point the program permanently closed. 

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make the program what it became. For many of you, the Good Food Box was a way to do two things at once: get great local food and support food security in our community. While the program has ended, our food security work is not. The need is still here. Families are struggling with the cost of food, and people need both access to food and opportunities for connection and belonging.

You can continue to support food security through Fernwood NH by: 

  • Joining community meals and food-centred gatherings.
  • Participating in our community gardens, food-growing opportunities, and seasonal cooking workshops.
  • Becoming a volunteer.
  • Becoming a monthly donor or supporting our annual fundraiser.
