Here at the Fernwood Community Centre we offer 3 unique spaces, for both one-time rentals or your long-term rental needs. We are located just steps away from the heart of Fernwood Village, and near several bus routes for your convenience. The Fernwood Community Centre is an accessible and welcoming space where you can host birthday parties, meetings, art shows, markets, and workshops or for running your own recreation or fitness program and more…

Gym
The gymnasium is a phenomenal option for large groups and events. This space is 2,766 square feet and has a 167-person capacity. With an impressive 20-foot ceiling, our gym is a great space for sports rentals and other high-energy activities. This space is also wonderfully suited for fundraisers, private parties, weddings, live music events, conferences and public presentations, or any event that you can dream up.
Multi-Purpose Room
The Multi-Purpose Room is a comfortable space here at the community centre—perfect for intimate events yet spacious enough to host 30-40 people (exact capacity is dependent upon the activity). This room is 596 square feet and amenities include a kitchenette and uncovered patio deck. With a large sofa and windows overlooking the park, the Multi-Purpose room has a cozy atmosphere and plenty of space to set up tables for dining, collaborative projects, games nights, workshops, meetings and more. Our Multi-Purpose Room is located on the main floor of the Community Centre and could be connected to the Studio through double doors if available.
Studio – New!
This space has recently opened up and is available for bookings! The studio is an open space that can be adapted for a variety of activities; from fitness classes, such as yoga or pilates, to board meetings, and smaller workshops. This open concept space is 394 square feet, has a 30-person capacity and is bright with high ceilings. This room is located on the main floor of the community centre and could be connected to the Multi-purpose room through double doors if available.
Whole Building
The entirety of the Fernwood Community Centre Building is available for rent for large-scale events, such as fairs and festivals. This rental includes all rooms listed above, at a reduced package rental rate. We are only able to rent out the whole building on Saturday and Sunday.
All rental fees go towards Fernwood NRG—your local charitable organization serving Fernwood with affordable housing, child care, community programs, food security initiatives, arts and cultural events, and more!
