The Victoria Seed Library is partnering with Fernwood NRG to bring a *free* Seed Library Member Orientation to Fernwood! Join us on Tuesday, May 5th at 7pm at the Cornerstone Cafe, 1301 Gladstone Avenue, to learn the foundations of saving your own seed on a small scale. You’ll have the chance to learn more about the Seed Library, become a Member, and take home some seeds! Plus, the fine folks at the Cornerstone will be serving up pizza and beer.
Please pre-register at http://ow.ly/LSGX5.
The Victoria Seed Library is a way for hobby and beginner gardeners to share seed and connect with other local seed savers. By providing access to free seeds and seed saving education, our goal is to strengthen local food systems and increase our region’s biodiversity. A partnership between LifeCycles and the Greater Victoria Public Library, the Seed Library provides free regionally adapted seeds and seed saving education at various branches around the city. Become a community seed steward by signing up (for free!) as a Seed Library Member, and help build a local movement towards a more resilient seed system!
