“When we each give a little, nobody goes hungry”
What: Stone Soup is a celebration and exploration of what we are capable of when we come together, giving whatever little bit we can for a common vision.
Ingredients of the evening:
A delicious and warm soup, fit for the season created with local ingredients, contributed by local farmers, grocers and bakers, and prepared by contributing community cooks.
Guest speakers, creative performances, a children’s zone, and many new friends.
*Stone Soup Special*:There will be a special presentation explaining the idea of Stone Soup as a gathering, and how it can be done by anyone ~ in your home; in your community centre; in your church; wherever ~ to bring us together to collaboratively create positive, self-sustaining effects in the world around us.
We will also be exploring other tools we could build together to help improve the reality of food production in the area.
What we’re cooking up together: All funds raised will be reinvested directly into our local food system’s infrastructure through a community micro-lending fund accessible to food producers in the area.
