Bio: Francisco Munoz and Dean Simpson from City ArtWorks are glass artists and painters residing in Victoria, BC. They have been working together for many years designing nature-based art. Using stained glass in a creative way allows them to “paint with glass” resulting in unique and contemporary works of art. The beauty and flow of nature in Victoria is a constant source of inspiration.
About the mural: The mural on the enclosure at White Spot will have a teal background and a very colourful arrangement of a school of fish flowing through the water. Many will have ‘thanks’ written on them in different languages and in contrasting colours to the fish body colour. This represents a Thank You to front line workers from the members of the community. With the hospital across the street, White Spot wanted to be sure that front line workers driving down Fort Street could see the mural each day.
