Fernwood Square was converted into a foodie paradise while exuberance was still in the air from the aftermath of FernFest. Twenty of Victoria’s finest food establishment’s set-up ready to dazzle the 300 attendees patiently waiting down Gladstone Avenue. Wine, craft brews, gin, and liquor was flowing. The jazz band, Kariba Surprise, was playing—it was go time.
The crowd flooded the square, wine glass and tasting plate in hands (thanks to Stage Wine Bar!). Spinach and feta cheese puffs, glazed salmon over rice, mango salsa prawns and crab cakes, mini pizzas, tacos, fresh shucked oysters, artisan cheese, and cupcakes, donuts, and much more to top off everyone’s plate. Anticipation over, devouring began. Between the full mouths there were smiles and chatter.
Nestled in the middle of the commotion was the Silent Auction and Art Auction. Friendly competition arose over some of the beautiful art pieces and great Auction Packages. Big thanks to all the artists who donated a piece of artwork or any establishment who donated to our Silent Auction. Thank you for supporting Fernwood NRG.
