We are excited to introduce VOICES Victoria, a new grassroots community theatre project created for immigrants and refugees in Greater Victoria, BC.

Moving to a new country can bring so many experiences—excitement, possibility, uncertainty, loneliness, discovery, and everything in between. VOICES is a space to come together, connect with others, get creative, and build a sense of belonging.

Through community theatre and creative exploration, we’ll play, laugh, experiment and create together.

Activities may include:
Theatre games & improvisation
Storytelling & writing
Clowning & play
Singing & movement
Creative and reflective exercises
Connection, confidence & community

You do NOT need any theatre experience. You don’t have to consider yourself an actor—or even particularly “creative”! This is a welcoming space to explore, participate, and discover at your own pace.

WHO IS IT FOR?
– Immigrants and refugees
– 18 years and older
– Living in Greater Victoria
– No previous theatre experience required

WHEN & WHERE?
– Sundays · 6–8 PM
– September 20 – December 13
– Fernwood Neighbourhood House (1240 Gladstone Avenue)
