On June 9th & 10th, check out the many Fernwood-based artists in our annual Art Stroll

This year, the 11th Annual Fernwood Art Stroll will be taking place over the weekend of June 9th and 10th from 11:00am to 4:00pm. There will be artists and artisans opening up their studios and showing their art in their carports, yards, and homes. Many will present their work in their gardens, which will make the Art Stroll an even more enjoyable experience.

This year, we have painters of all types and styles, photographers, calligraphers, and makers of baskets and driftwood sculptures. The Pandora Arts Collective, at 1923 Fernwood Road, will host their usual interactive site for children and families and The Victoria Shambhala Meditation Centre, at Pembroke Street and Belmont Avenue, will be showing their members’ art. There will be something for everyone, and everything unique and handmade.

This event carries on rain or shine. This is a chance for Fernwoodians to get to know the artists and artisans in their midst. It is also an opportunity to enjoy a walk or bicycle ride around our wonderful neighbourhood at a beautiful time of year. This event is a chance to support artists directly too.

Please invite your friends, family, and colleagues to join you. Why not drop into our excellent cafes and restaurants at the four corners of Fernwood (Fernwood Rd and Gladstone Ave) before or after?

For more information about the Art Stroll, to see the participating artists, and get the map of studios, go to fernwoodartstroll.ca. We will also be distributing brochures with the map; keep your eyes peeled for them around Fernwood.

Mark your calendars!
