Trick-or-Treat your way down to the Fernwood Community Centre—1240 Gladstone Avenue—this Halloween. Let’s come together as a community to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve. Bring the whole family. Wear your costumes, spooky or cute; we would love to see them.
Our youth leadership group will be selling hot apple cider to keep you warm. There will be a bouncy castle, games, and treats in the Community Centre gym for all to enjoy. There will be will activities for younger children. A bonfire will be burning at Stevenson Park all evening. Take a quick break from collecting loads of candy and hang out with us and your neighbours this Halloween.
If you are interested in volunteering for this event please contact Shonna at shonna@fernwoodnrg.ca.

Hi there, loved the bonfire on Halloween, it was good to see it back again, and gave the kids a destination as we made our way around the neighbourhood. If I could though, I’d like to suggest some things for next year. It would have been great to see some benches for tired kids to sit on around the fire, and personally I’d have skipped the bouncy castle / indoor activities and hired an acoustic band to play some music around the fire.
Thanks for putting this kind of thing together; just another thing that makes Fernwood the best neighbourhood in the city!
Mark,
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy that you were able to make it out and enjoy yourself. Your ideas will be taken in to consideration for planning next year.
See you then!
