Join Beth Threlfall in painting Fernwood’s first street mandala.

Place: Grant Street, where it dead-ends into Haegert Park
A few years ago, the neighbourhood had a mandala-drawing contest with the vision of creating a Fernwood Road street mandala. This design, created by Sue Hara, was chosen at a neighbourhood meeting and is now being painted on Grant Street with the city’s approval. The finished mandala will be about 16 by 16 feet and painted in lively earth tones. Beth welcomes everyone to come on down during the day and help paint Fernwood’s first street mandala!
There will be a street celebration for this event, so if you can’t paint but want to contribute please feel free to bring along a snack or cold beverage to share with the painters. There will also be a road closure in place, so you’re welcome to just come cheer the group on!
