Join us for this monthly breakfast series designed to connect individuals from government, business, public sector and non-profit organizations who are working to create a resilient capital region.
Friday, May 13, 2016 – 8:00 – 10:00am, followed by an Educational Site Tour of Spring Ridge Common (by donation)
Fernwood Community Centre Gym
The exchange is intended to:
- Profile organizations engaged in climate change, sustainability and new economic ventures and local initiatives
- Explore key questions on topics central to climate change and sustainability in the region
- Provide a forum for introductions and networking and announcements on upcoming events
- Create space for idea generation and synergies that can lead to innovative action
The Resilient Region Exchange is a chance for focused conversation with movers and shakers on topics and issues that matter. The goal is to incubate, collaborate and motivate each other. Each quarter the breakfast rotates around the region to showcase innovative initiatives, organizations, and people. The format allows you to meet new people and share your story. The breakfast series is sponsored by the Capital Regional District and is free of charge.
Food Forestry Educational Site Tours show how permaculture systems are being applied in this community to enhance, diversify, and increase food resiliency. Interested in a tour after the Resilient Region Breakfast Exchange? Sign-up at the event! (offered by donation)
